Tristin Filsinger was raised in Eureka, California and began his training in classical ballet at the age of nine.

After attending the Summer Dance Program with Boston Ballet School in 2015 he was accepted into their Pre-Professional program under full merit scholarship where he trained for four years with instructors such as Margret Tracy and Peter Stark.

During his studies at Butler University, he performed in major productions such as: The Nutcracker, as Flowers Demi-soloist, Snow King, and the Nutcracker Prince, Giselle, as part of the Peasant Pas De Dix, and Midwinter Dances in various new works choreographed by Patrick de Bana, Jeniffer Archibald, Susan McGuire, Cynthia Pratt, and Marek Cholewa. He also choreographed two fully produced pieces, one as part of Butler Ballet’s Student Choreography showcase, and another as part of Butler Ballet’s Senior Choreography production, both complete with costumes and lighting. Tristin earned his BFA in Dance performance in May of 2023; also under a full-merit scholarship.

For the last two seasons, Tristin has been a company member of Ballet Austin. In his two seasons with the company, he has been gifted the wonderful opportunity to work in 10 different productions. Including works from Stephen Mills, Amy Seiwert, and Jessica Lang.
